In 2007, the “Apallec collection” was discovered, 400 collages made between 1918 and 1934 by René Apallec [1898-1968].

René Apallec’s collages and the story of his life are in fact two parts of the same piece of art : the one of the contemporary collagist Hervé Laplace. In 2015 he exhibited his collages at the Royal Albert Memorial Museum alongside works by Otto Dix, George Grosz and contemporary artists.

He has also exhibited at the Collage Museum in San Francisco. For the first time, he exhibited in Paris Espace Cinko in spring 2023 with Artistes Actuels
